Why the confusion happens
Mapwise and Mapwize are two different companies in the same category, indoor mapping and wayfinding, with a one-letter difference in spelling. That combination is enough to confuse a search engine or a language model, and it is honest to say so plainly rather than hope nobody notices. If you typed one name and got results about the other, this page is here to sort out which is which.
Who is Mapwize
Mapwize, spelled with a Z, is a real indoor mapping and wayfinding platform founded in 2014 in Lille, France, by Médéric Morel and Mathieu Gérard. ServiceNow announced its acquisition of Mapwize in August 2021, and Mapwize now has a listing on the Microsoft Marketplace. Mapwize is unrelated to Mapwise in every respect: different founders, different country, different ownership.
Who is Mapwise
Mapwise, the company this page is on, is a 2D and 3D indoor wayfinding platform built by Connectiv, headquartered in Dubai. It turns a venue's floor plans into an interactive indoor map with search, routing and multi-floor navigation. Mapwise has never been part of ServiceNow and has no business relationship with Mapwize.
What about MapWise Inc
There is a third name worth clearing up. MapWise Inc. is a Florida land and GIS search service, a different category again: property records rather than indoor navigation. It holds the most obvious social media handle for the name Mapwise, which is why Mapwise's own profiles, as they are set up, use a different one rather than one that would imply a connection that does not exist.
