Information you give us
When you contact us or request a demo, we collect your name, email address, phone number, the contents of your message, and any attachments you send.
Business contact details
For commercial enquiries we may collect your name, company name, address, email address and telephone number.
Log files
Like most websites, we use log files. These record IP address, browser type, internet service provider, date and time stamp, referring and exit pages, and click counts. This information is not linked to anything personally identifiable. It is used to analyse trends, administer the site, and gather demographic information in aggregate.
Analytics and cookies
We ask before we measure anything. On your first visit a banner asks whether you accept analytics cookies. Until you accept, Google Analytics is not loaded at all: no script is fetched from Google, no request is sent, and no analytics cookie is written. If you reject, that stays true for as long as your choice is on record.
If you accept, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used: which pages people read, which links they follow, and roughly where in the world they are. It sets two cookies in your browser, named _ga and _ga_NYTXMMEF25, which distinguish one visitor from another on repeat visits. They expire after two years.
This tells us how many people read a page, not who they are. We do not use the data for advertising, we do not build audiences from it, and advertising storage is switched off in our configuration whatever you choose. Google processes the data on our behalf and holds it on its own infrastructure, which is outside the UK.
Your answer is stored in one cookie of our own, named mapwise_consent. It holds a single word, granted or denied, and nothing else: no identifier, and nothing that could be used to recognise you. It expires after six months, after which we ask again. This cookie is what makes the choice possible, so it is set whichever way you answer.
You can change your mind at any time using Cookie settings at the foot of any page. Withdrawing consent stops the measurement and deletes the Google Analytics cookies already in your browser. You can also installGoogle's opt-out browser add-on, or block cookies for this site in your browser settings. Nothing on the site stops working if you do. Spam protection on the contact form
Our contact form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which tells a person apart from a bot. The form also runs a signed arithmetic check and a hidden honeypot field, both verified on our own server; reCAPTCHA is the strongest of the three layers, not the only one. It loads on the contact page only, and it sets cookies of its own. We treat it as strictly necessary to keep the form's strongest layer of protection working, so it is not covered by the analytics choice above. It is governed by theGoogle privacy policy andterms of service.
